Wimbledon began this week, which means if you didn’t have enough distractions on your devices already with navigating the summer’s standard out of office replies and good weather syndrome, the next couple of weeks have plenty to keep you occupied, even if it’s the only tennis you watch all year but you pretend to be really passionate about it. After all, it’s tradition.

The Press Association has been granted €706,000 by Google to develop a ‘robot reporter’ project, which will produce 30,000 stories for regional publications each month. It’s not been amazingly received by journalists.

- Samsung is trialling Walk Mode in India to stop distracted pedestrians getting themselves hurt, or in trouble.
- Channel 4 is opposing ideas for it to move all staff out of London, which have arisen following a government consultation, with Birmingham, Sheffield, and Liverpool have expressing interest.
