ITV has made the decision to switch off all seven of its channels for one hour next Saturday morning, 27th August (Bank Holiday no less), as part of the I Am Team GB campaign, which is all about encouraging people to get out and exercise. This comes just after widespread criticism of the Government’s recently outlined plans to reduce childhood obesity levels…

Already substantially delayed, Downing Street’s proposals to help kids cut calories, sat fats and sugars have been branded a ‘disaster’ by doctors and healthcare experts, who are particularly concerned about the decision not to restrict aggressive fast food advertising, aimed at youngsters.
