What a month indeed. From the tail end of a hurricane to hiring new staff, preparing for a continent-wide social campaign, and welcoming two new clients, the last few weeks have been something of a whirlwind here on Bridge Street.
First up, then, it’s our pleasure to announce Smoking Gun PR has been awarded a 12-month contract with Provident Financial Services, to launch a new product in the non-standard lending sector. At the moment mum is definitely the word, but let’s just say it’s a revolutionary offering we’re only too proud to support through the usual SGPR level of ingeniousness and innovation.
Add to that Holt Lloyd International, one of the planet’s leading automotive aftercare product manufacturers, which has drafted our team in to deliver integrated PR support for the Holts Professional and Prestone ranges. The idea being to position both as the number one choice for mechanics and garage owners, and our plan is to fulfill that requirement with deft planning and expert implementation.
We’re also delighted to confirm our team has once again grown. Hayley Peters (pictured above) joins our senior team after a spell as head of planning at Weber Shandwick, bringing with her a wealth of experience in strategic consumer PR gleaned from more than a decade working campaigns for major public relations network businesses.
Meanwhile, Tally Thompson (pictured above) bolsters our staff further still, arriving to take a seat as Junior Account Executive- a position she secured thanks to a fittingly ingenious approach to the job application and interview process.
On top of all that, everyone here at Manchester’s finest media headquarters is overcome with excitement at a brand new, high profile push we have just begun on behalf of our long-term client, Mountain Hardwear. We’ve designed and built a pan-European Facebook app aimed at supporting key retail accounts in each territory, and celebrating outdoor enthusiasts in general.
#findingwinter ambassadors will be selected from every country in the global region to be kitted out for the cold months ahead, in turn recounting their own ongoing adventure stories through weekly blogs and other shareable content. Proof, if any were needed, that we really don’t stop working, and love every second as a result, it’s a good thing the weekend is nearly here, affording us a rare moment to catch our breath and take stock before November takes the reigns.
