With Christmas just over three weeks away you might think the last month would have been defined by watching what we eat and avoiding champagne. But, thanks to a sweet new client and yet more award ceremonies (not to mention wins), nothing could be further from the truth.
Who can blame us? After all, it’s not everyday you get to partner up with the producer of the world’s first 3D printer for jelly sweets. Smoking Gun PR will provide public relations solutions for the Magic Candy Factory, and we kicked off with a super successful launch mid-November, garnering coverage across print and online, amongst influencers and the general public.
From a new kid on the block to an established favourite, the new Studio by Silentnight range was also unveiled to the media recently at a high profile event, with almost 100 journalists in attendance thanks to our excellent networking and invitational skills. An impressive number by any agency’s standards, when we set bars so high it’s no wonder the industry keeps recognising these efforts. Here are a few mementoes we took from the occasion.
The CIPR was the most recent body to do that, declaring our team responsible for the Best Use of Media Relations during the last 12 months, largely as a result of our ‘always on’ press office, news jacking, thought leadership and expert commentary for Silentnight. Not a bad claim to fame, this came only days after being crowned Best PR Agency and receiving the Best PR Campaign gong at the MPA awards.
Further success stories are expected as 2017 begins, too, because we’re honoured to be adding Terri Lowe to our staff base as Digital Content and Community Manager. Having previously worked for brands like Hut Group and Gandey Productions, she brings a wealth of highly sought after skills to our fold, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this latest recruit. Check out her personal blog here for evidence of just how ingenious this consummate pro is.
We’re also always keen to help others reach the standards we stick to, and recent times have seen us deliver myriad training sessions for organisations. This time we’re hosting on behalf of the PRCA, and focussing on great account management. Like one of the many gifts we’ll be giving amid the festivities, that about wraps things up from this end, so all that remains to be said is enjoy the season, don’t spend too much, and ours is a mulled cider, thanks.
