This morning marks the welcome return of a familiar face to the region’s web publishing landscape; set to provide public relations agencies such as ourselves with the latest and greatest industry information. Suffice to say, it’s good to have him back.
Many people working in the northern media and creative industries will recognise the name Nick Jaspan, as he was responsible for the sorely missed and formerly fantastic How Do. After closing its doors, or rather pages, there has been a significant gap in the market, despite the launch of Buzz North West and the constantly improving Creative Boom, both of which are really rather good. Nevertheless, it was with great pleasure that we received news last week that the commentator in question was ready to unveil his latest endeavour.
As of today, those looking for the lowdown on everything from PR to advertising in cities from Liverpool to Sheffield could do worse than logging on to Prolific North, the latest digital offering headed up Mr. Jaspan. Therein visitors will find news, features, interviews, event listings and job adverts, to name but a few sections. It’s also worth noting that there are plans in the pipeline for a Prolific North awards ceremony, with the inaugural event itself penciled in for May this year. Needless to say then, there’s plenty of potential in this latest initiative, and we’re confident the concept will follow in the footsteps of its predecessor site, going on to become respected and revered by anyone who regularly peruses its pages.
