Summer might be a thing of the past, but we’ve been enjoying unseasonably good temperatures on Bridge Street. Not that there hasn’t been plenty of hard work to distract us from the weather too.
Take the Manchester Publicity Association, for example. We’ve drafted in these experts to help boost our staff skillset, increasing knowledge of best practice and as such boosting the value for money we can offer clients on a daily basis. Given the team is already renowned for its interdisciplinary services, saving the firms we deal with unnecessary costs, this next set of internal investments will further elevate us above the competition.
That’s not the only way we’ve been bolstering our ability to perform, either. As reader’s of our Blagger’s Blog will already know, last Monday was the start of Social Media Week in London, one of the key industry events in the calendar. With conferences, workshops, discussion panels and more looking at developments in this area it should go without saying we were never going to miss the opportunity to get involved.
Hence the reason no less than three representatives from Smoking Gun PR were in attendance to get the low down on the latest trends and changes that will impact on the digital presence of the businesses we love. You can read our take on things by clicking here for a review of the masterclasses we managed to bag a spot at, detailing everything you need to know, right now, when it comes to socially-minded tricks of the trade.
With sunshine still managing to break through the impending clouds and rain, we’ve also been delighted to open up our new office roof terrace this month. Providing a vista looking out over the ever-changing Manchester skyline, it’s the perfect place for post-work drinks, and provides a great alternative meeting space for visitors to our headquarters.
We can’t wait to start developing our urban garden here, with a little help from our very good friends at the Horticultural Trade Association. Temperatures permitting, we’ll also be using this for our Halloween party in late October. Good news all round then, this is before we come to the numerous pitches we currently have in the offing, so watch this space for developments on that front.
