Last Week At Smoking Gun PR…

Last week was a busy old week for the SGPR team! Here’s a roundup of everything we’ve been getting up to…

Monday saw Hayley, our Associate Director and Beth, Account Manager, visit the Silentnight factory in Barnoldswick with Sleep Expert Dr Nerina and award-winning long distance runner and brand ambassador, Jo Pavey. Hayley and Beth attended a presentation with the rest of the Silentnight team to promote the Silentnight Achievements campaign. The day was a great platform for sharing knowledge and building internal morale.
On Tuesday, the SGPR team were treated to a blogger outreach session by the lovely Laura Seaton of the ‘Tired Mummy Of Two’ blog. During this session, the team gained a greater insight into the world of blogging, and learnt the best ways to contact bloggers for projects.
Our Digital Manager, Kineta and Media Manager, Emma went up to Hexham to do some shooting for one of our clients, Holts. There to shoot videos for the Holts ‘Pro Panel’, Emma and Kineta filmed various mechanics competing in challenges such as ‘how fast can you change a tyre’. A fun day all round!
On Friday morning, Junior Account Executives, Annie and Meabh visited Warrington Cats Protection centre to work on the charity’s latest campaign. With the help of former Hollyoaks and West End star, Carley Stenson, the girls spent time with some of the oldest cats in the centre. This was to highlight the message of cats being overlooked in favour of kittens in adoption centres.
On Friday afternoon we had a serious case of #FridayFeeling! Due to the glorious weather we were having, we fired up the BBQ and had a chilled out lunchtime sitting on the SGPR balcony… Alright for some eh?
