July 2014 in the Smoking Gun PR study

Summer has got off to a wonderfully warm start, and things have been looking bright in our office too. Along with another significant new business win and a recruitment drive,  we’re also opening our own oasis of greenery overlooking Manchester’s famous skyline, making further staff investments, and scoring big for our favourite brands.
As is tradition in our newsletter, though, let’s begin with confirming the latest addition to our client roster, and certainly one of our biggest to date. Provident Financial Services has confirmed that Smoking Gun PR will now be representing the company as public relations guide, on hand to assist in all aspects of reputation management and media promotion. Watch this space for further details of some exciting developments ahead.
Elsewhere, and since moving into our new home at Rational House here on Bridge Street we’ve been making major improvements to our work space, and are delighted to unveil the latest plan to develop the North West’s most beautiful headquarters. Not that we want to make anyone jealous (much).
After months spent filling in the necessary paperwork our team finally has permission to open its own roof terrace, creating a perfect space to unwind after a hard day’s work at the iMac. Needless to say, we’ve been taking on board tips from our client, The Horticultural Trades Association, on what to grow, meanwhile, Outdoor Chic has been more than forthcoming on design ideas.
With lots of creative space from which to operate and all our new client wins, we need more great staff with jobs ranging from account executive, to social media manager to account director so get in touch if you think you can cut the mustard!
Of course we’re still committed to providing the best possible media services to the firms we love, and continue to take bold steps in order to ensure our staff can deliver. Over the last four weeks the team here has been put through its training paces both internally and externally, guaranteeing these smoking guns remain more than competitive and fully equipped to offer expert advice to leading brands.
For proof simply look at our performance results. During June 2014 we secured no less than 254,958,294 opportunities to see our clients in the media. That’s impressive by anyone’s standards, not least if you’ve read this month’s lead story on the painfully low percentage of Facebook users that can now see organic posts. Indeed, with efforts like that, and soaring average daily temperatures, it’s no wonder we’ve all been working up such a sweat, and as such it’s just as well we now have somewhere tranquil to cool off.
