So that was that. One down, another eleven to go, so far this year has gotten off to a start that reminds us of that movie from a few years back- extremely loud and incredibly close. Mass protests, political wildfire on social channels, The Secret Life of 6 Year Olds. Amazingly, though, we’ve somehow managed to stay on task.
Zara Lewis has certainly helped the cause no end. The latest addition to our team, she joins her account handling colleagues, bringing a wealth of digital communications experience to our ever-burgeoning office here on Bridge Street, the overall point being we’re even better placed to deliver the exceptional service, with lashings of ingeniousness, that we have come to be known- nay, renowned- for.
Aside from taking on more new staff, we’ve also been busy out of the building too, with plenty of irons in the fires when it comes to public appearances. We’re very much looking forward to being partner with the CIM at Prolific North Live in February, for example, which is the biggest ever media and marketing expo outside of London, taking place right here in our hometown of Manchester.

Aside from that we’ve also been reflecting on a very successful 2016, which has seen us increase profitability, reap the rewards of our efforts with a host of new awards, continue with our charitable donations, and launch our Intelligent Dashboard Evaluator– the ultimate tool for brands to gauge whether they are truly getting the best value for money from their PR and marketing investment.
All this and that’s before we mention an overhaul of our operations team and structure, and the not-so-small arrivals of two new babies to add to Smoking Gun’s very own miniature people’s department. Too much to take in at once? No worries, here’s a handy infographic to explain all that. Ever onwards and always upwards, then, we’ll see you in February for another update from the study.
