Fletcher and Moody help charity PR push for studded dinner

This Manchester-based social media and public relations agency has frequently harped on about the power of strong brand ambassadors and frequently highlight stand out work in the not for profit and charity PR sectors. So when you put all three together in a story we’re clearly going to be interested.
With a date set for 27th March, tables are currently being snapped up for the United for Colitis Charity Gala Dinner held at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium in aid of Crohn’s and Colitis UK. Both United’s Darren Fletcher and former-England rugby captain Lewis Moody MBE have experience living with Ulcerative Colitis and will take to the stage to share their experiences and raise awareness.
It promises to be a great night raising money for a highly worthwhile cause. Due to the private nature of Crohn’s and Colitis they are not often discussed openly, but these two famous faces are taking huge steps towards raising awareness and lifting some of the mist surrounding the issue in the hope of getting people to talk. On the night in question attendees can expect a fund-boosting auction, three courses of good food and a performance from a top UK act. Although uninvolved professionally, everyone here at Smoking Gun PR would like to voice their support in the initiative, which deserves the kind of attention a pair of very public figures such as this will hopefully bring.
