Like any decent digital public relations firm in the North West we were never going to let a few accolades get in the way of us doing our job properly. Hence the reason we’re only just taking some time to contemplate last week’s Smoking Gun success.
The CIPR PRide North West Awards took place on Thursday November 29th at the rather elegant Gorton Monastery, East Manchester, and saw the cream of the region’s industry pros meet for dinner and commendations following another year of hard work. Our team was shortlisted in no less than nine categories, and managed to come away with honours in five, leaving everyone in the office feeling understandably chuffed.
So that’s Silver gongs in Not-For-Profit, Best Campaign £10,000 and Under, Best Use of Photography or Design, and Best Digital Campaign. Representing brands ranging from Panda Liquorice to Nissan, the biggest news of all is that our work for the car giant also received a Gold Award for Consumer Relations. Needless to say we made one or three toasts after the ceremony, but whilst it’s right to celebrate these wins weren’t handed out for self-congratulatory acts, so with that in mind we’ll leave you with a couple of images from the evening, borrowed from the CIPR North West on Facebook, and get back to doing what at least one industry body thinks we do rather well indeed.
