The role is full-time and on a permanent basis.
Purpose
Reporting to the Client Services Director and working closely with both our strategy department and PR Heads – lead and implement our storytelling approach across social media, including influencers.
The role is part of our integrated (PR/social media/Influencer) service offering across both B2C and B2B clients.
You will have accountability for client success on social media.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support fostering a high performance and empowering working environment within the social media team in line with Smoking Gun’s Values
- Ensure the social media team has all necessary tools and training to improve core expertise, deliver for clients and achieve their personal development goals
- Assist in managing the pipeline of relevant new business opportunities and lead on appropriate responses
- Develop frameworks, best practices for the evolving social media landscape in line with Smoking Gun’s overall growth objectives and effectively integrate into all of SG’s other services.
- Commerciality – deliver annual revenues and recovery rate targets. Planning team resourcing and managing servicing levels
- Utilise existing tools/ subscriptions and seek ways to continually improve our offering, service levels
- Lead strategic conversations and brainstorm sessions to develop content strategy and ideas
- Create persuasive and compelling content that helps deliver on client goals
- Write and execute creative project briefs for internal teams and external suppliers
- Measure and evaluate the success of social media campaigns and analyse their performance to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate seamlessly with other departments to ensure creative campaigns are executed successfully
- Holding direct line reports accountable against targets via regular reviews
External
- Ensure that all client work is of the highest quality and is delivered on time, on brief and on budget
- Establish strong client relationships, become the strategic point of contact and trusted advisor for senior clients
- Contribute to client’s business growth by proactively identifying new opportunities
- Be an ambassador for the business – primarily with key existing clients, secondarily with potential clients and in the wider marketing community
- Perform senior-level client negotiation and management skills, with clear and
substantive speaking, writing and presentation skills

- Personal billable utilisation target – c65%
- Retention of social media client accounts – >90%
- Growth of social media accounts
- Running profitable client accounts (managing service levels)
- Increasing wider team knowledge and understanding of channels
- Create ‘ingenious social media ideas’ for agency, clients & pitches
- Winning awards for social media / influencer work
Required skills and experience
- 5+ years of social media marketing focused roles in agencies
- Team leadership and development
- Development of effective, strategic and creative social media campaigns and BAU
- Paid social media – experience in boosting / audience targeting required
- Influencer marketing – experience of partnering with social media content creators and influencers of all sizes to achieve specific marketing goals, such as increasing brand awareness, credibility, and sales.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including building effective relationships with senior stakeholders.

£45k+ depending on experience
