Blagger's Blog- Davos, Adidas x BVG, Presidents Club

Quote-of-the-Week-Jan26

Weekly High

‘Is this the future of public transport?’ Probably not, but this new collaboration between Adidas and Berlin’s metro system, BVG, is still cool. The limited edition trainers are inspired by the German capital’s subway train interiors, and have an annual ticket to ride embedded in the tongue. Oh, and they cost far less than the price of a yearly pass. Cue global media coverage.

Weekly Low

No prizes for predicting this one. This Monday some of the wealthiest men in London were rightly shamed after the Presidents Club fundraising dinner was exposed for the misogynistic gather it evidently has been for the last 30 years, forcing charities in receipt of monies raised to hand back the cash, widespread apologies to be issued, and some of us to wonder whether it’s really 2018 or not.

First up, we published the results from our study of Facebook’s algorithm changes which reduce the prevalence of content from Pages in your News Feed. Then we delivered an update on new changes happening on Instagram and Snapchat. And, finally, we shared a brief introduction to addressable TV.
